The only floating flower market in the world, located on the Singel canal, supplies flowers to the whole centre of Amsterdam. There are several florist's shops where you can find not only the iconic Dutch tulips but other flowers as well. The market was established in the second half of the 19th century. Apart from the flowers, you can also get some gardening supplies or flower bulbs here.
It is a great place to visit not only for those with green fingers. Everyone will appreciate the colorful sight which is a living reminder of the times when the flowers were brought to the city exclusively by boats.
